LENTEN STUDIES
Below are some of the series featured in past years. These continue to stimulate discussions.
CRISS-CROSS THEOLOGY
(2004 Lenten Study Series) (Four 30 minute programs)
People can view the same situation in very different ways. It all depends on our context: our unique experience and perspective determines how we understand our world. Context also affects how we interpret the Gospel, both as a church and as individuals. This year at Lent, Spirit Connection invites four Christians, from Africa, Asia, Latin America and Canada's First Nations, to share how their personal stories and theologies have been shaped by their cultures. This series of four 30-minute interviews explores how theology in a modern context makes the Gospel a dynamic and living presence. The series features the following: Wesley Mabuza, Nestor Medina, Wenh-In Ng, and Alf Dumont.
HOPE UNFOLDING: REFLECTIONS ON LENT (2002):
Guest Reflector: Ken Gallinger. This four part Lenten series focuses on the words of The United Church of Canada's "A New Creed" that describe how we proclaim Jesus as Lord - "crucified and risen, our judge and our hope."
